Existentialism and humanism

Existentialism and humanism

Sartre has laid the foundations for an original doctrine of Existentialism. His concern, however, has been to relate his theory to human response and the practical demands of living. To this end, he has carried his concepts into his novels and plays. He has demonstrated the utility of Existentialist doctrine while creating works of high literary merit.
