The secret river

The secret river

In 1809 William Thornhill and his family are sentenced to be transported from the slums of London to Australia. Eight years later he is a free man again and he claims a hundred acres by the river for himself. But the aboriginees already live by that river and they are not going to hand over their land without a fight. Thornhill, a man no better or worse than most, has to make the most difficult decision of his life.
